How much did you pay for your furniture? I’ll bet it wasn’t cheap. Most people spend thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars to furnish their homes and then forget about it, leaving all of their furniture, carpets and floors to waste away over time.
You would never go to the beach without u/v protection, would you? Everything in your home is exposed to low-levels of u/v light all the time and it can’t regenerate the way your skin can. It doesn’t have any way to protect itself. Most people never think about this and so the money they invested in making their home beautiful slowly goes to waste, pennies at a time as their carpets, leather sofas and wood floors fade, scuff and dry out. Wicker furniture is tough and durable, but extremely light, which makes it popular for use in both indoors and outdoors living areas…and it has been this way since the beginning of recorded time. Archaeologists have found artifacts made from wicker in Egypt, and dated them to about 1400 B.C.
There is no plant called “wicker”…the term refers to the method in which the chosen material ? rattan, bamboo, willow, or other sturdy but pliable plant fibers ? are woven together -usually through a rattan framework - to form anything from baskets to tables to chairs.

As of 2004 the furniture industry in Canada employed some 92,810 persons, more than 44% higher than 10 years ago, but almost unchanged since the beginning of this century. The improvement from its 1993 recession low of just 59,559 is truly remarkable. In other words furniture industry employment has exhibited much resiliency, especially considering the impacts the industry faced since the early 1980s from Canada?s free trade agreement. The more recent employment decline is a reflection of the industry?s slowdown due to the strengthening Canadian dollar and more Asian competition.

What is a sunroom? Think of a warm. comforting room saturated with sunlight during most of the day. Sunrooms are placed facing the south in the northern hemisphere. and facing the north in southern hemisphere to take the most advantage of the natural light. If you are in an area where sunlight is not available all year long. you will appreciate the value of a sunroom. Very hot. tropical areas. near the equator. for example. would not need sunrooms since the temperatures there never get very low.
